This week we change focus and are going to investigate HDR, (high dynamic range), as requested by one or two of our group. This will be more Photoshop based rather than in camera, although questions regarding how to set your camera will always be answered.

After a well attended outing to All Saints Parish Church last week that was an outstanding success with everybody enjoying the experience, this week we will be reviewing the results, looking at the superb shots, the ones that went wrong and explaining the reasons behind these images that were not so successful.

Please note it was requested by Eddie that any prints would be welcomed by the church for their archives, so please do consider doing a spare print and bringing it along for me to forward to Eddie to show our appreciation of their generosity of allowing the group full use of the facilities.

As well as a review of the images taken from the church shoot, we will continue to explore our cameras. If you wish your camera to be demonstrated please bring along a fully charged camera and the AV cable that was supplied with it when you bought it, (it has a yellow phono plug attached to one end).

This week we have the adventure of visiting and photographing the interior of All Saint’s Parish Church located, would you believe it on Church Street, Gainsborough. This is a golden opportunity to get some fantastic images from within this beautiful church. Experienced photographers will be there to assist those that require a helping hand and to guarantee you a shot to remember. Remember to arrive no later than 1.30pm at the front of the church and to bring your tripod, cable releases and not forgetting your camera.

The visit will cost the usual £4 with a donation to the church being made by the group. See you there!

This week we are going on a photographic shoot to ‘All Saint’s Parish Church’, situated on Church St. Gainsborough. This is a big and beautiful church with lots of opportunities to find both interior wide angle views and close up detail work of fantastic stained glass windows, lovely ceiling, ornate sculpture in both wood and stone and an organ with large pipes as well. This is an opportunity not to be missed, skilled photographers will be on hand to assist with your efforts to ensure you make the most of the session.

We will meet at approximately 1.30pm outside the church main entrance to discuss our plan of action. The church cafe will be open until around 2pm so if a drink is required perhaps it would be prudent to go there first. Car parking is rather limited in the church grounds but Car Parks are available at both Roseway and behind the old Post Office.

The charge will be the usual £4 with a donation to the church being made.

The entire session will be held at the church and our usual hall will not be used. Remember to bring your tripods and cable releases if you have them, a couple of spare tripods will be available for members without.
